THE PICTURES are created with a 35mm camera, standard lenses and recorded on slide film. Standard photographic filters (polarizing, neutral density, warming) are used to correct for the limitations of the film to record the scene faithfully under varied weather and lighting conditions. The images are corrected for contrast, color balance and treated with standard darkroom techniques such as dodging, burning, cropping, and removal of dust or an occasional distracting element of design. No special effects such as double exposure or wildly enhancing color filters are used. The effects and colors of the picture are directly related to the color of the light and the time of day the picture was made, the type of film used and the length of exposure required to capture the picture on film.

PHOTO ART CARDS are truly disposable art. The card, produced from the same digital files as the larger prints, has been designed with an eye-catching colorful border. Each card is hand made. Individually printed inkjet prints produce an image with a vibrant color and tonal range, exceeding that of a standard offset press card, are then lined with a resume paper for the perfect writing surface and packaged individually with in an envelope in an archival plastic sleeve. They are ready to give as a gift, mail to a friend, or frame in a standard size frame or matte 4x6 or 5x7. Also referred to as “place cards” the title of the photograph and the location where it was taken is printed on the back of each card.
